hi!

I am a graphic designer based in Vancouver, Canada creating communication design in print + web media, as well as website design. I studied graphic design in a program run between Emily Carr + BCIT and also hold a BFA in Art History from Concordia University.

My experience includes working for a boutique record label / creative agency creating everything from album art, posters, and ads to corporate pitch decks and event presentations. I now freelance and love working with all kinds of clients– artists, venues, restaurants, private businesses, charities, non-profits and community organizations.

Specialty Coffee Association

Role: Using the SCA brand guidelines, the design of handbooks, infographics, posters, logos, ads, and brochures. The work designed here was created for and in collaboration with Chicago-based design agency Poolhouse Creative.

Mesa Luna

Album art (digital) for remix of Harrison ft. a l l i e's "Vertigo" (2016)

Mesa Luna is an electronic artist, also known for their remixes done
for Charlotte Day Wilson, Hannah Georgas, and Harrison.

Goal: Creating artwork for a series of remixes. The design plays with a scholastic composition notebook as a space for writing / re-writing. The colours and geometric forms were inspired by the style of a road bike that Mesa Luna liked. (I dug the bike, too!)

Anecdotal Evidence

Logo design – abbreviated version

Anecdotal Evidence is a storytelling event series that explores the human side of science. Storytellers share stories about how we relate to science in our lives.

Role: Logo design. Many of the stories told at the events feature some sort of shift in thinking, surprise, or a moment of discovery. The logos designed illustrate that burst of excitement and newfound knowledge. Many of these moments happen while working in the field, which is where the loose hand-drawn text is drawn from.

InSite

Logo design implemented on website
Created in collaboration with
Poolhouse Creative

InSite is an app / software developed for enabling property managers to easily create presentation-ready reports, receive and execute quotes from contractors in seconds, get relevant geo-targeted contractor recommendations, track property progress and issues over time, and more.

Role: Logo design for a new start up looking for branding that embodies their user-friendly experience and focused approach to property management. InSite wanted something that is simple and friendly with a pop of colour. We executed this by choosing a sans-serif with slightly rounded edges and chose a blueish green as the accent colour. The work designed here was created for and in collaboration with Chicago-based design agency Poolhouse Creative.

Alexandria Maillot

Soft Cedar
& The Cultch

Soft Cedar (play on "soft seater") is a non-profit society created to provide support and create opportunities for artists who want to push the boundaries of their performance practice through the production of live music events, the commissioning and developing of new musical works, and by curating musical performances for other inspiring societies and organizations. Soft Cedar upends conventions and enriches its local community through these performances..

Goal: To create a logo that reflects their West Coast location with a casual, friendly feel. To achieve this, a hand-drawn sprig of cedar surrounds a sans-serif typeface that has the gentle undulations of a fountain pen. The poster series reflects the theatre's clean + straight-forward aesthetic.
